In Alex’s memory, I contributed to the newly established Dana-Farber Food Pantry at the main hospital in Boston, designed to address food insecurity in pediatric patients who are undergoing cancer treatments there. According to Dana-Farber, 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer lives in poverty. I thought a donation in Alex’s memory would fall in line with her personal mission of helping others. She had such a zest for life and was a real trailblazer with new ideas. I hope that Alex’s legacy of kindness, love and sense of adventure will continue to inspire us for years to come.
